A quick, savory, and irresistible classic made perfectly fluffy with Agrim Long Grain Rice.
Ingredients
The Base:
3 cups cooked and chilled Agrim Long Grain Rice;
2 tbsp cooking oil;
1 tbsp minced garlic;
1 tsp minced ginger.
The Veggies:
1/2 cup finely diced carrots;
1/2 cup finely chopped green beans;
1/4 cup diced capsicum;
1/2 cup chopped spring onions (whites/greens separated).
The Protein (Optional):
1 cup diced boneless chicken OR 2 lightly beaten eggs.
The Seasoning:
2 tbsp soy sauce;
1 tbsp green chili sauce;
1 tsp black pepper powder;
Salt to taste.
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1-Prep Protein:
Heat 1 tbsp oil
Scramble eggs or fry chicken until cooked
Set aside.
Step 2-Sauté Aromatics:
On high heat
Add remaining oil, garlic, and ginger
Toss for 30 seconds.
Step 3-Toss Veggies:
Add carrots, beans, and white spring onions;
stir-fry for 2-3 minutes
Add capsicum, cool for 1 minute.
Step 4-Add Rice:
Mix in chilled Agrim Long Grain Rice
Gently breaking up clumps.
Step 5-Season & Sizzle:
Add soy sauce, chili sauce, salt, and pepper;
Toss rapidly on high heat for 3 minutes.
Step 6-Final Touches:
Return the protein, toss to combine, garnish with green spring onions, and serve.
Tips & Variations
Fluffy Rice: Use day-old, refrigerated Agrim Long Grain Rice so the grains stay separate and firm.
High Heat: Keep the stove on the highest setting for that smoky, restaurant-quality flavor.
Prep in Advance: Have all vegetables chopped and sauces ready before starting, as fried rice cooks incredibly fast.
